Equitable Healthcare Access Consortium Quarterly Meeting
IIMU hosted the 4th Quarterly meeting of EHAC in April 2019. The EHA is a consortium for like-minded organizations which was created in March 2018 with an objective of exploring the potential for creating a forum for mutual learning, creating ideas for equitable access to healthcare, taking up these ideas for implementation through the stages of pilots and subsequent scale-up. The meeting revolved around the four thrust areas of EHAC:
- Quality care with empathy
- Educational courses
- Reaching out to the medical student fraternity
- Primary care for the poor
IIMU facilitated the first ever interaction of medical students with the EHAC members by bringing together students from the medical institutions in Udaipur for a session during the quarterly meeting.
