The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invited Expression of Interest (EoI) to conduct implementation research on strengthening Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs). Across the country, 1,50,000 existing Sub Centres and Primary health Centres have been transformed to “Health and Wellness Centres” to deliver comprehensive primary health care.
EoI from the Centre for Healthcare (Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur) and Basic HealthCare Services was shortlisted and the team was invited to attend a three-day proposal development workshop. ICMR has shortlisted seven other teams across India for this project on improving Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers.
We are excited as this study unfolds; it is a great opportunity to contribute to this flagship primary healthcare initiative of India.
